There are several advantages of using steam cleaner for furniture. Firstly, as mentioned above, it is one of the best methods of deep cleaning furniture. Secondly, the steam cleaner (the instrument or the equipment) is easy and safe to use. All you need to add some water and proceed according to the manufacturer's instructions. Thirdly, this upholstery cleaning equipment is not only useful for cleaning the dust and the dirt stuck in between the furniture parts, but it is also used to actually kill the dust mites that thrive in the upholstery. The suction like facility found in steam cleaner helps in getting rid of all the excess water from the furniture and dry clean it. You can either rent a steam cleaner from any of the stores selling furniture cleaning products; or invest in one which will last for a long time.
Outdoor or patio furniture is either made of wood or wrought iron. The paint to be used for this must be capable of withstanding the atrocities of inclement weather. Heat and humidity cause the paint to crack and peel off. No matter what quality paint you apply on your outdoor furniture, you will invariably have to repaint it every 2-3 years. Latex paint is the best option for patio furniture, as it does not fade easily and can stand extreme weather conditions. Besides, some exterior latex paints also come with mold and mildew resistant formulations, which prevent the growth of mold and mildew on wooden outdoor furniture. Water-based latex paint or an acrylic spray-on are the best options for iron furniture, but avoid using oil-based paints for iron furniture under all circumstances.
Even still, it is clear that there are a number of different materials for outdoor furniture at home-owners disposal, beyond synthetic rattan; and while none of them looks set to topple the hegemony rattan garden furniture has over the outdoor market, they nonetheless constitute valid alternatives for home-owners looking for something different.
Psychedelic. Okay, so in the sixties and seventies, there were reasons for glow in the dark, psychedelic paint and black lights, though these excuses were usually less than savory and not entirely legal. Today, though, the bright T-shirts and posters have returned, with many individuals covering walls with glow in the dark designs and even painting whole walls in psychedelic paint, installing black lights in their recreation rooms or game rooms for entertainment purposes. This retro design option, coupled with disco lights that are more reminiscent of the late seventies, can really take you back to "the day"', especially if you put in the right music!
